Yeah for the most part we are restricted to C&R guns and pre-86, about the only way around this is getting an FFL and then getting an SOT. Full auto's are a blast to shoot(yeah, pun was intended), but you have to have some pretty deep pockets to be able to afford to run one. Last time I was able to shoot a couple of FA's, I started out with two bulk packs of ammo. 250@9mm and 250@45ACP, 15-20 minutes later both my bulk packs were gone. It only lasted that long because of BS'ing about guns and loading mags and drums. The first time I got to shoot a FA S&W M76, it took me about 7 seconds to empty a 32(maybe 31 rounder?) rounder stick mag. They are big-fun.
The guy I know that has several FA's often referes to himself as being "ammo poor".
